Adopting Caroline Li

Finally Done!

At 4:00pm this afternoon we took an oath at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou which officially completed our adoption process. Currently, Caroline is still a Chinese citizen, but she will become an American citizen the moment her passport is stamped in Chicago! Tomorrow, we will say goodbye to many of the families in our adoption group. The rest of us fly out on Friday.

  • Congratulations guys, what a laborious process, but well worth it! Can't wait to see you both and Caroline Li.

I've been following your trip and didn't realize until yesterday that Guangzhou is what was Canton.

We're praying fro a safe trip home. See you soon,

    Love, David & Brenda

  • After taking Joshua to school today I was listening to James Dobson on the radio coming back home and was reminded how God burdened your hearts through this same radio program to adopt a girl from China. I just praised God right there in the car for his faithfulness to bring you to this point in the journey. We can hardly wait till MIDNIGHT Friday!!!!

    Love,
    Dad
